Developed by WickedRide, Bounce - Bike & Scooter Rentals is similar to the concept of booking car rides and even motorbike rides on Uber and Grab. However, instead of having someone else drive for you, Bounce allows you to drive the bike or scooter yourself. Despite the similarities, Bounce definitely stands out from most travel apps. For one, it is known as a scooter rental service, allowing you to pretty much rent bikes and scooters for your daily commute. This is a great and cost-efficient solution commuting problems in large cities—not to mention environmentally friendly. Bounce has keyless bikes and scooters that can be driven by connecting to its online service and booking a ride on a specific bike. Simply open the app, find the nearest yellow Bounce scooter or bike from your current location, pick your ride, add your destination, choose your method of payment, and confirm your booking. 

When you get to your bike, just enter the OTP sent to your phone on the bike’s keypad and drive away. Once you reach your destination, just park your Bounce bike at the closest legal parking area and then end your trip via the app. The bikes even come with their own helmets and your rides are always insured. 

However, what’s holding back the whole service is both the unreliability of the app and the bikes themselves. Sometimes, you can’t start the bike or the app already bills you before you can even finish your ride. There’s also the constant case of stolen helmets. Bounce seems convenient but the experience will always depend on your luck.
